1. For the Love of Lanterns

We love lanterns, they’re great ways to light up the path and when you’re taking a photograph they add great ambiance give a nice touch to the picture. The Wedding Wire agrees with us and wrote a little post about it.

Here’s what they had to say:

“Lanterns can add a lot to your decor and wedding style. They can be incorporated into any theme, and at any time of year. As Summer leaves us and we begin to think about Fall and Winter, lanterns are great for the shorter days as they can provide romantic lighting to all different parts of your wedding day. Below are five ideas, but truly the possibilities are endless!”

Below are 5 different ways that Wedding Wire gave recommendations for the use of lanterns. Here’s our take on those 5:

    1) Centerpieces

Lanterns as a whole give a very rustic feel and when lined up like this in a photograph it gives a great depth of field. Also, at night when they’re actually being used there is this great sense of romanticism that comes with lanterns.

    2) Aisle Markers

Aisle markers aren’t always needed but when they’re added they put a really nice look to the aisles. These ones have flowers and small plants inside of them but you can put anything from candles to small tree branches in them and they would light up the aisle in more ways than one.

    3) Welcome Table Decor

For a fall wedding this would be a great look and photograph beautifuly when matched with neutral colors and candle light.

    4) Location Decor

Locations decor with lanterns makes the spot pop would make a great backdrop for guests to take pictures. With varying sizes of lanterns and candles, these would make a perfect bright spot for the happy nuptials.

    5) Reception Decor

Lanterns hanging from the ceiling if done properly will look very nice. It would light the reception area very well give off a very nice aura.

  2. Honeymoon

Once the wedding is over there’s one more big thing left that everyone looks forward to, THE HONEYMOON.

The Knot gave us a list of the top 50 most popular destinations that our bride and grooms went on and here is our favorite 5 in no particular order.

    1) Catalonia, Spain

Catalonia is rich in history and beautiful in architecture. The language is beautiful, and let’s be honest, so are the people. With its long and winding roads it would be a perfect spot for the happy couple to go on a romantic bike ride together and take photos of their surroundings or even have a little picnic on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean sea.

    2)Puerto Rico

as said by The Knot, “It’s a small island, but with beaches, El Yunque rain forest, an underground cave system and a bioluminescent lagoon, Puerto Rico is a big playground for adventure-seekers.” What more could you ask for from one location? You can go on a hike, or a swim and be back in time to have dinner as you watch the sun set.

    3) Bali, Indonesia

Bali is beautiful. Bali is spiritual. Bali is historical. With it’s amazing temples and lush green hills, this is the perfect scenic destination for anyone. This would the perfect spiritual get away for the couple that wants to connect on a whole other level.

    4) Paris, France

Paris is the classic answer to the honeymoon question. It’s the city of love. When you think of romance you think of france; the language, the art, the music, the architecture, it beckons you on and you can’t help but be in love.

    5) Reykjavik, Iceland

It’s the birthplace of Bjork, so given that, you know it’s going to be one magical place. Whale watching tours, hot springs, clear waters, Iceland is the perfect place to snuggle up and enjoy the once in a life time views.

Your honeymoon is somewhere you get away from the world and just enjoy yourself and dive deep into the first chapter of your marriage. Pick your favorite destination and discover a new side of it and make memories that you will remember forever.

    Where would you rather go?
