    DTLA Surprise! (DoubleTree Downtown)

    Having our studio in the newly flourishing Downtown Los Angeles, we’re always on the hunt for great venue options. We’re ashamed to say it was always in our backyard and we JUST discovered it this weekend. Our newest discovery is the newly remodeled and named DoubleTree hotel (formerly Tokyo Grand) in the chic neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles.

    Last Saturday the hotel hosted a casual bridal event to showcase their beautiful rooftop ceremony and reception areas. Complete with tall grass, waterfalls, multi-level gardens, streams, ponds, and more … the new DoubleTree DTLA is a major contender for garden weddings, rooftop weddings and even city view weddings. The greenery is a welcomed change amongst DTLA’s tall skyscrapers and neighborhood renewal programs. 

    From a photographic eye, this venue is a gem. Along with the gorgeous rooftop, they have beautiful ballrooms a warm staff. I was greeted by Gloria Guiles of catering department who was happy to speak with me, but countless brides about the rooftop garden and facilities. 

    If you’re looking for a great venue in the heart of Los Angeles, consider visiting this beautiful hotel. It’s fwy close, and surrounded by a great nightlight, shopping and culture!
